Elberta Peach Tree (Prunus persica ‘Early Elberta’)

The Elberta peach variety is renowned for its large, golden-yellow fruits with a red blush, celebrated for their sweetness and juiciness. Capable of yielding up to 150 pounds of peaches each season, its texture and flavor make it an ideal selection for fresh consumption, smoothies, baking, and canning.

The Elberta peach tree, a heritage freestone variety originating from 1875 and a favorite in home gardens. It blooms in early spring with vibrant pink blossoms. The Elberta yields sizable fruits that are golden-yellow with a red blush, celebrated for their sweetness and juiciness. Capable of producing as much as 150 pounds of peaches each season, its texture and flavor make it ideal for eating fresh, smoothies, baking, and canning.

Plant in full sun and well-drained loamy or sandy soil. The Elberta peach is self-pollinating, but planting pollinating partners can increase the size of your crops. Average height 12′ – 15′ and width 12′ – 15′.  Required chill hours: 800-900. USDA hardiness zones 5 – 9.
