Stanley Plum Tree (Prunus domestica ‘Stanley’)

The Stanley plum produces abundant crops of medium to large purple-blue oval shaped fruit with a kiwi-green flesh. The fruit is firm, juicy and sweet making it excellent for eating fresh, canning and drying.

Sunlight: Full sun minimum 6 hrs per day.

Soil: Well-drained loamy or sandy soil with a pH level of 5.5 to 6.5

Water: Water weekly until established. Water established trees deeply as needed.

Fertilizer: Use a balanced fertilizer in the spring.

The Stanley plum blooms in early spring. This variety produces abundant crops of medium to large purple-blue oval shaped freestone fruit with a kiwi-green flesh. The fruit is firm, juicy and sweet making it excellent for eating fresh, canning and dehydrating. The fruit is harvested in September.

Plant in full sun, well-drained loamy soil. The Stanley plum is self-pollinating, but planting pollinating partners can increase the size of your crops. Average height 18′ – 20′ and width 18′-20′. Required Chill Hours: 700. USDA hardiness zones 5 – 8.
